Stomach Diseases (Gastropathy)

As we all know stomach is one of the very vital organ of the human body which is located in the upper part of the abdomen. It plays a key role in the process of digestion of foods that we eat, releases various enzymes and also protects the lower intestine from corrupting organisms and ingredients. The stomach mixes the eaten food, stores the ingested food and also produces stomach acid which kills the microorganisms.

Stomach Flu: Viral gastroenteritis is the supplementary name for stomach flu. The symptoms of it may include fever and chills, diarrhea and vomiting. The people who are very old or very young are more capable of getting infected with this kind of stomach disease.

Diarrhea: Diarrhea is basically of 2 types: acute diarrhea and chronic diarrhea. Chronic Diarrhea may last for a number of days. It is one of the very commonly known stomach diseases.

Gastritis: In Gastritis, the patient experiences inflammation in stomach with abdominal pain.

Crohn’s Disease: This is a disorder in which digestive tract lining gets inflammations. This inflammation leads to diarrhoea, abdominal pain and malnutrition.

Gastroparesis: Gastroparesis is a condition in which a delayed gastric emptying happens due to the weaker stomach muscles. This condition is a kind of paralysis that affects the muscular movement inside the stomach and as a result the food is not digested properly.

Appendicitis: Appendicitis is the inflammation of the appendix, a small appendage near the intestine.
